Park & Ride Locations

• U.S. Route 550: North side off Route 33 and Route 550 interchange  ( paving spring 2012)
• U.S. Route 33 at Route 690  (planning stage)
• U.S. Route 7 at Route 124  (coming spring 2012)
• U.S. Route 33 at Nelsonville & Dorr Run  ( planning stages)
• U.S. Route 50 at Albany (under review)
• US Route 33 & St. Route 682, Chauncey exit  ( coming spring 2012)

The Park & Ride committee, driven by Rural Action's goal of demonstrating the need for such a system in the community, consisted of appointed community members and regularly met to discuss options to provide various locations suitable for Park-N-Ride facilities. After the Athens Mobility Coordinator position was created, the committee merged their efforts with the mobility coordinator position and appointed Lantz Repp, Athens Mobility Coordinator, as the lead contact person for the group.
